Mango grown in Mai Son district is of a high quality, a nice shape, and an appropriate size and weight for export to the US, according to Kim Nhung Produce Trading Ltd based in Dong Thap province, the purchaser of Mai Son mango for export. The company has also bought local mango to export to the Chinese market and for domestic consumption. Son La province has about 2,640ha of mango with an estimated volume of over 14,200 tonnes per year.
