Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has issued a plan on the implementation of the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard, which was approved by the National Assembly in November 2018 and will take effect in July 2019. China Coast Guard officers join exchange program in Da Nang
Young officers of the coast guard forces of Vietnam and China joined an exchange programme, the central city of Da Nang, December 24 At the programme, second of its kind, young Vietnamese and Chinese coast guard officers exchanged information on activities and reviewed cooperation to strengthen friendship. It has also contributed to strengthening solidarity and friendship between the two countries, and enhancing effective cooperation in implementing the agreement on joint inspection regulations with China. On this occasion, the two sides also shared experiences in fishing vessel management, search and rescue missions at sea, marine environmental protection, and maritime safety; disseminated laws and other regulations at sea to fishermen. Vietnam Coast Guard ship pays first visit to India
Ship CBS 8001 docks at Chennai port, India. This was the first time a ship of the Vietnam Coast Guard had visited India, marking the development of the special ties between the Vietnam Coast Guard and India Coast Guard. Following the welcome ceremony, officers of the Indian Coast Guard Eastern Region and officials and students of Chennai city visited the vessel. During their stay in India, the Vietnamese coast guard delegation will pay a courtesy call to the Command of the Indian Coast Guard Eastern Region, visit the Chennai search and rescue center to share experience in law enforcement at sea and preventing piracy, conduct sports exchanges with their Indian peers and visit some cultural facilities in the city. Nguyen Minh Khanh docked in Chennai port on October 2, beginning its visit to India at the invitation of Rear Admiral Paramesh, Commander of the Indian Coast Guard Eastern Region. This was the first time a vessel of the Vietnam Coast Guard had visited India. Japan Coast Guard ship starts Vietnam visit

(Photo: VNA) Da Nang (VNA) – Japan Coast Guard Training Vessel, the Kojima, with 80 officers and crew members on board, docked at Tien Sa Port, the central coastal city of Da Nang on July 24 to begin a five-day visit to Vietnam. The delegation, led by Colonel Tonosaki Hironoby, was welcomed by leaders of the municipal Department of External Affairs, the High Command of the Vietnam Coast Guard, the High Command of the Vietnam Coast Guard Zone 2, the High Command of the Da Nang Border Guard, and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam.
