(Photo: VNA) Mexico City (VNA) - A delegation of the ASEAN Committee in Mexico City (ACMC) paid a working visit to Guanajuato state , aiming to bolster trade and investment. The delegation, comprising representatives from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, joined working sessions with leaders of Guanajuato and Irapuato cities regarding economic development, foreign trade, tourism and education. The event took place within a meeting of wives of officials and female staff of the Malaysia n Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ASEAN Ladies Circle (ALC) in the country, aiming to contributing to enhancing the friendship and solidarity within the bloc. Khuat Thi Hong Hanh, spouse of Vietnam ese Ambassador Tran Viet Thai and head of the ALC Vietnam, spoke highly of solidarity and mutual support of the ALC amid the COVID-19 pandemic. On Saturday, a representative from 26 Moc Chau Tourism JSC (L), the investor of Bach Long (White Dragon) glass bridge, received a certificate from Guinness World Records, the world’s authority on record-breaking achievements. With this official recognition, the Bach Long bridge has unseated a 530-meter glass bridge outside China’s Guangdong Province, which was recognized by Guinness as the world's longest in 2020. The Bach Long bridge also set a second Guinness world record as it has the world's longest glass-bottom cliff side path measured at 327 meters. Inaugurated on the Reunification Day (April 30) this year, the bridge is suspended some 150 meters above a lush green jungle valley. Apple has been reliant on Chinese manufacturing for over a decade, with analysts estimating that 90 percent of its products are made by contract manufacturers in the country. This reliance has made Apple face considerable risks in ensuring stable supply, the journal said. In the meantime, it added, Apple factories in India have witnessed continuing strong sales. Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries are ideal destinations for Apple to expand its supply chain. Vietnam currently houses 31 factories producing and assembling electronic parts and equipment for Apple products, such as cameras and screens.
