Finance Minister of Singapore Lawrence Wong (Source: MCI/VNA) Jakarta – Indonesia and Singapore plan to build an international container port in Kendal industrial park - a joint venture between the two countries - in Central Java of Indonesia, Singapore's Finance Minister Lawrence Wong has said. He made the suggestion during a visit to the park, as part of his four-day working trip to Indonesia. Feasibility studies on potential sites for a port had been done by companies in Singapore and Indonesia, and a proposal has been made to the central government in Jakarta, Wong said at a joint press conference with Kendal Regent Dico Ganinduto. The minister noted that with the growth of manufacturing activities in the province, companies would want to increase not only consumption within Indonesia but also exports to other countries. SEA Games 31: Singapore’s gymnasts put end to seven-year medal drought

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi - The men’s gymnastics team of Singapore on May 13 grabbed its first medal since the 2015 SEA Games on home soil. The team scored 297.65 points to secure a bronze at the ongoing SEA Games 31 while host Vietnam triumphed with 331.25 points at the competition held in Hanoi’s Quan Ngua Sports Palace. Captain Terry Tay said regardless of the colour of the medal, it was a feat itself, saying that really has been a journey. He was also part of the team that won bronze in the same event at the 2015 SEA Games but said the two moments could not be compared.
