As many as 5,684 traffic accidents occurred nationwide, killing 3,286 people during the first six months of the year, according to a statement made by the General Statistics Office (GSO) on June 29. During the reviewed period, the number of cases dropped by 10.4%, while the number of deaths increased by 2.7%. The daily average throughout the six month period stood at 31 accidents, 19 deaths, and 11 injuries. Most notably, between May 15 and June 14, 951 accidents occurred. LONDON -- Major global biodiversity loss could cause enough economic damage by the end of the decade to severely cut more than half of the world's sovereign credit ratings - including China's, the first major study on the issue has warned. The research published on Thursday by a group of British universities looked a range of scenarios, including one where a partial collapse of key ecosystems savaged nature-dependent industries such as farming and fishing that some economies rely on. It estimated that the detrimental impact would result in 58% of the 26 countries studied facing at least a one notch downgrade of their sovereign credit rating. According to the Digital 2022 report conducted by We Are Social, the number of mobile phone users accessing the Internet grew by 147 per cent year-on-year last year. Kaspersky, meanwhile, reported that it detected and prevented a total of 43,171 mobile attacks targeting Vietnamese users last year, 46.9 per cent higher than in 2020. Trojan is the most common threat in Việt Nam.
