Struggling mother seeks help for disabled son
A woman in the northern province of Bac Giang is calling for support as she is facing cirrhosis, while her son has congenital dumbness and blindness. Vy Thi Sinh, 60, and her son are living in a shabby house with nothing valuable in Son Dong District’s Dai Son Commune. Sinh’s husband was affected by Agent Orange when he was a soldier. He died due last year to lung, liver and heart problems. In the last days before his death, he had to use a lot of pain relievers. Vietnamese cultural village to be built in RoK
Briefing on a plan for the construction of the village, Park asked the Embassy of Vietnam in the RoK for support to the project which aims to mark the 30th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic ties (December 22, 1992 – 2022), to expand people-to-people exchange, and to promote Vietnam’s cultural experience in the RoK. According to Park, the village will be developed on a ground of 38,350 sq.m. It is expected to attract around 100,000 visitors and generate some 3.7 billion won (2.8 million USD) in revenue annually. Local authorities also hope that project will create jobs for nearly half a million of local residents. Raw materials shortage s In the first half of 2022, export turnover of goods reached US$185.94 billion, up 17.3 percent over the same period last year. But while many enterprises have orders until the end of the year, they cannot speed up production due to raw material shortages. Director of Datalogic Vietnam Limited Liability Company, Dang Van Chung said the market demand is large, but businesses cannot accept new orders due to lack of electronic components. It also takes time to find alternative sources of raw materials, as reflected in the factory's revenue being 15 percent lower than the plan. “The shortage of electronic components is a general problem of the electronics industry.
