Hanoi (VNA) - National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines, two carriers under the Vietnam Airlines Group, have announced adjustments to flights to and from Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport on January 21 due to unfavourable weather conditions. Two flights from Ho Chi Minh City, VN248 and VN7246, will land at Cat Bi Airport in the northern port city of Hai Phong. Two others from HCM City, VN7206 and VN320, are to be diverted to the central city of Da Nang, while another from Buon Ma Thuot is to land at Tho Xuan Airport in central Thanh Hoa province. Hanoi (VNA) – Japan's Nikkei newspaper has run a story highlighting the opportunity for Vietnam to rise stronger after the COVID-19 pandemic is completely controlled. It spotlighted Vietnam's efforts in maintaining economic activities amid the pandemic, which made the country one of the Asian economies recording the highest growth in 2020. The article noted that in 2020, Vietnam signed three free trade agreements (FTA), and saw the introduction of another airline, while rising to the sixth position in Southeast Asia in terms of per capita income. Phu Quoc airport stops broadcasting flight information on radio from January 20
In order to avoid delay and missed flights, the national flag carrier-Vietnam Airlines will deploy new notification methods at the airport to help passengers conveniently follow and update flight information. In addition, airport staffs at the check-in counters will notify passengers about the cancellation of radio broadcasting notification. Additional 13 large signals about the cancellation have been installed at check-in counters, security checkpoints, waiting rooms and exits so that passengers could easily, actively find out and update information on flight information screens. Previously, international airports of Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang and Cam Ranh had changed to the new notification form, aiming to minimize the noise at the terminals.
