(Source: VGP) Ben Tre (VNA) - The World Records Union ( WorldKings ) and the Vietnam Records Organisation ( Vietkings ) on July 1 recognised “Nguyen Dinh Chieu thi tuyen” (Collection of Nguyen Dinh Chieu’s Poems), a calligraphy book on poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu as the largest calligraphy book in Vietnamese of poet Chieu's poems in the world. The book's author, Vu Dang Hoc, was honoured as the maker of the largest calligraphy book on poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu in the world. The book, measuring 1.8m x 1.4m with an iron base and weighing 500 kilogrammes, was created by calligrapher Vu Dang Hoc to celebrate the 200th birth anniversary of poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu (1822-2022). This is the first year that Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam has been named. The company was ranked the 11th most attractive employer for Engineering – Mechanical – Manufacturing and ranked 12th in the Economics – Management – Commerce field. The survey was conducted among more than 13,667 Vietnamese students of 10 majors from 120 universities across the country to measure employer attractiveness to students. The ranking method is based on the results of Vietnamese students' votes on each employer brand through five stages of talent attraction - awareness, interest, action, desire and first choice. Hanoi reports three SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant BA.5 cases
Hanoi has recorded three infections caused by the BA.5 sub-strain of the Omicron coronavirus variant, according to the municipal Department of Health. A health worker takes samples for Covid-19 testing Speaking at a Friday meeting with the city people’s committee, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health Vu Cao Cuong said that three local people had been found infected with the sub-variant BA.5 of Omicron at Bach Mai Hospital. "Three cases of BA.5 of Omicron infection have mild symptoms or no symptoms," Cuong said. "But this strain has been found to be spreading faster than other circulating variants such as BA.1 and BA.2." The official reported that Hanoi currently confirmed an average of 180 Covid-19 cases a day, much lower than a few months ago. Now, the city has more than 1.60 million cases of Covid-19. Addressing the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Hieu underlined that the passing of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) 1982 40 years ago was a historical milestone in the development of international law, becoming the first comprehensive legal framework and a “constitution” of the sea. The convention has proved its universal values, he said, adding that to date, it continues to play a fundamental role in the development of international law of the sea, promoting peace, security, cooperation among nations, and the sustainable development of the oceans and seas.
