Vietnamese picture books come back in favor Only one month after its release, the Kim Dong Publishing House's series of picture books Chuyen o trong rung Vi vu (Stories in the Vi vu forest) of writer Truong Huynh Nhu Tran has been re-published. Being an author of children's literature, writer Huynh Nhu said that re-publishing of the picture books is of great pleasure for her as she has tried writing picture books just for a short time. The HCMC Department of Education and Training asked schools to coordinate with publishing houses to ensure the provision of sufficient textbooks to students in the upcoming academic year 2022-2023. The school year 2022-2023 is the first year that textbooks for grades 7 and 10 have been published under the general education curriculum issued in 2018. Therefore publishers and distributors need more time to prepare for organizing printing and distribution. The Immigration Office (PA08) under the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security said that from July 1 to July 30, the agency received 28,795 applications for issuance and renewal at the office. Besides, there were 1,831 applications online from June 1 to July 30, including 645 applications under process and the rest being refused or adding relevant documents and papers.
