The results of the photo contest have been announced by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. The only gold medal has been presented to photographer Luong Viet Son Tung (Hanoi) who took the “Vietnamese athletics surprised with a gold medal in the 100m hurdles SEA Games 31 of Bui Thi Nguyen” photo. The organizing panel has also presented another silver and three bronze medals and five consolation prizes to other participants. Launched in June, the contest has attracted the participation of both amateur and professional photographers from across the country. The 26-year-old earned a wild card entry to the 18th edition of the event after Vietnam failed to win a berth through the official qualification regime.
