Her visit to Russia is made from December 8 – 11 at the invitation of Chairwoman of the Federation Council V. Matviyenko and Chairman of the State Duma of Russia V. Volodin. She will visit Belarus from December 12 – 14 at the invitation of Chairman of the Council of the National Assembly Mikhail Myasnikovich and Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko. Conference adopts Hanoi Call for Action on early childhood development

Permanent Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan said the event aims to promote pioneering and volunteering movements among young people in order to support socio-economic development in the community. Tuan reviewed a wide range of voluntary activities within the framework of the summer youth volunteer campaign, launched nationwide in 2000 by the Standing Board of the HCYU Central Committee. During the last two decades, over 50,000 classes on illiteracy elimination were organised for over 450,000 people. The volunteers repaired and built more than 287,000km of rural roads, repaired over 182,000 houses and constructed 67,431 others. Vietjet Air launches Hanoi-Delhi direct route
Illustrative image (Source: Vietjet Air) New Delhi (VNA) – The first direct flight from Hanoi to India’s New Delhi landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport on December 7 night after travelling for more than five hours. Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau was present at the airport to welcome passengers of the flight that was operated by budget carrier Vietjet Air. The ambassador expressed his hope that the direct air route will facilitate cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, as well as the bilateral trade, investment and tourism ties. Hanoians worried as air quality has become poor year-round
The air quality in the last six days of November was poor, with the index exceeding the permitted levels. According to the Hanoi Environment Protection Sub-department, at 10 am on the last day of November, the air quality index (AQI) at the monitoring station on Pham Van Dong street was 172. The AQI was 173 at the French Embassy on Ba Trieu street, 182 at the US Embassy on Lang Ha Road and 177 on Hang Dau street. The air quality in the last six days of November was poor, with the index exceeding the permitted levels. In Cau Giay populous district, the sky was dark at 8-10 am. And before that, on the night of November 30, on Xa Dan, Nguyen Trai and Belt Road No 3, the street lights were a blurry red.
