(Photo courtesy of The BROS Entertainment) Following the announcement of the event, Blue posted on Instagram: “Two years ago we almost made it to Vietnam but the pandemic got in the way. That changes next month as we roll into Hanoi for the Hayfest on Saturday 6 August 2022.” Hoang Linh, founder of The BROS Entertainment, the event's organizer, said that the four groups will perform a series of hits that were once adored by many Vietnamese fans. "They will take us all back to our youthful years full of energy and enthusiasm, exactly as this year's music festival's theme is 'Brilliant Youth'," he said. The organizers had also intended to invite Westlife and the Backstreet Boys, but because they were unable to arrange a schedule to perform, this year's HAY Glamping Music Festival included only four foreign bands. Last minute cancellation by The Moffatts, A1 upsets HCMC fans
Both groups were supposed to perform with boyband 911, headlining the "Touch your heart" music show on Sunday night. However, they canceled shortly before the show and only 911 hit the stage. The show was scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., but it didn't begin until after 8 p.m. After other singers performed for more than an hour, the MC announced The Moffatts and A1 could not make it to the show. According to MC Trung Nghia, the artists are suffering from health issues as a result of the weather. On the evening of Aug. 6, the groups spent several hours performing in the rain at a music festival in Hanoi. They flew to HCMC the day after and took part in a rehearsal at Hoa Binh Theater. Near the start of the show, both boybands announced their members didn’t feel well and had to rest at the hotel. The Moffatts also made a video apology to the audience, which they sent to the organizers and played at the concert. Tra My, who lives in Hanoi, took a trip to Dak Lak last weekend. My said it took her more than 40 minutes to check in and go to the airport, instead of the usual 15 minutes. “The airport becomes too crowded for the number of passengers that need to be served every day. Congestion occurs as soon as you reach the airport. Luckily, the flight was delayed for 30 minutes, so I was not late,” My said. A bumper summer for domestic tourism The same situation also tends to occur with road and waterway routes to some tourist destinations such as Quang Ninh and Haiphong. Minh Quan from Bac Giang shared that his family had to wait more than four hours to take the ferry from the mainland to Cat Ba island during a trip to Haiphong a few days ago. “Each large ferry can carry nearly 20 cars, and a small ferry can carry nearly 10, but … [Read more...] about A bumper summer for domestic tourism
