Speaking at the ministry’s regular press conference in the second quarter of the year, Loi said this is not a new point of view. He cited the Resolution of the third session of the 10th-tenure Party Central Committee as saying that it should focus on recovering corrupt assets, apply leniency for those who commit crimes but have a sincere attitude, have compensated for damage or addressed economic consequences, and cooperated well with authorities. Party chiefs call for improved institutions to fight corruption
Chairing the 22nd meeting of the central steering committee for corruption and behavior prevention and control in Hanoi on August 17, Trong also requested the submission of regulations regarding power control to the Politburo for approval towards fighting corruption in inspection, supervision, Party discipline enforcement, audit, investigation, prosecution, trial and enforcement of judgments, law-building, use and management of public finances and assets, and press and media activities. He also ordered the investigation, prosecution and trial of cases under the watch of the committee, striving to finish investigations of 14 cases, prosecuting 20 others, holding first-instance trials for 25 cases and appeal trials for five others later this year. Vietnam to release strict regulation on cashless payment

With that in mind, any transactions worth over VND100 million (US$4,275) must be done via a bank, and real estate purchases must be carried out in a cashless way. Functional agencies then only need to carefully monitor money sources of banks and compare these data with the self-declaration of subjects when necessary. He stressed that this strict regulation can also prevent money laundering and control inflation.
