The results of the photo contest have been announced by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. The only gold medal has been presented to photographer Luong Viet Son Tung (Hanoi) who took the “Vietnamese athletics surprised with a gold medal in the 100m hurdles SEA Games 31 of Bui Thi Nguyen” photo. The organizing panel has also presented another silver and three bronze medals and five consolation prizes to other participants. Launched in June, the contest has attracted the participation of both amateur and professional photographers from across the country. Since its launch, the organizing panel has received 2,093 photos and photo essays of 237 photographers from 28 provinces and cities across the country. (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan has asked the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) to promptly tackle flight delays and cancellations after latest data shows that up to 5,602 flights by domestic carriers were delayed in June (May 19 – Jun 18), accounting for 18.2%. The figure was 15.9 percentage points higher than the same period last year and 9.4 percentage points higher than may, according to the report by CAAV. The report indicates that six domestic airlines – Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Bamboo Airways, and Vietravel Airlines – operated total of 30,808 flights in June, up 528.7% compared to the same period last year and 18% against the previous month. Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai signs a regulation on the construction coordination of the Ring Road 3 Project in Ho Chi Minh City with leaders of three provinces of Long An, Binh Duong and Dong Nai at the conference. National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines resumes services between Ho Chi Minh City and Jakarta (Indonesia) on July 2. (Photo: VNA) Jakarta (VNA) – National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines resumed services between Ho Chi Minh City and Jakarta (Indonesia) on July 2 after months of closure because of COVID-19. The first flight in months, coded VN631, departed from HCM City for Jakarta at around 9:40am, with 144 passengers on board; and the return flight took off from Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 1:50pm carrying 171 passengers. There are now regular round trips on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
