The energy used by high-rise buildings in Viet Nam accounts for around 35-40 per cent of the country’s total energy consumption. A survey by real estate service firm Cushman & Wakefield (CWK) showed that around 40 per cent of gas emissions came from real estate. According to the Viet Nam Green Building Council, there are about 200 green buildings across the country. Viet Nam is predicted with a high growth prospect in the region, at more than 6.5 per cent in 2022, 0.7 per cent higher than the average growth of 5.8 per cent for the whole region. This was a key finding from the Economic Forecast presented by the experts at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Economic Insight Forum Q2.
