No new COVID-19 cases reported on January 27
Hanoi (VNA) – No new COVID-19 cases were reported in the past 24 hours to 6pm on January 27, keeping the total unchanged at 1,551, according to the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control. The total number of recoveries now stands at 1,430, while the death toll remained at 35. Among patients undergoing treatment at medical establishments across the country, 14 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 10 others twice and 12 thrice. At present, 21,86 people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or entered Vietnam from pandemic-hit areas are under quarantine across the country. Da Nang’s administrative reform efforts pay off
Da Nang (VNA) - Administrative reform outcomes in the central city of Da Nang have helped the city secure foreign investors’ confidence, contributing to attracting more FDI in the locality. According to the municipal Department of Home Affairs, Da Nang has simplified more than 300 administrative procedures over the past 10 years while implementing 15 projects linking procedures in different sectors and shortening the time for responding to administrative requests by 20 percent in many areas. Thanks to this success, the city has enjoyed fruitful results in FDI attraction. Most recently, authorities granted an investment licence to a semiconductor manufacturing project worth 110 million USD - the second largest foreign-invested project at the Da Nang Hi-tech Park.
