The competition’s first stage will take place from November 18 to November 24 and will include teams such as Cao Bang, Sanna Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Tan Hiep Hung, and Thai Son Bac. They will compete in a round-robin format in order to decide the three teams that will have the opportunity to progress to the second stage. About 1,800 Thai supporters are expected to show up at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi to cheer for the Group G match between Vietnam and Thailand in the Asian section of the 2022 FIFA World Cup second qualifying round on Tuesday night. The Southeast Asian archrivals will challenge each other at the 40,000-seat My Dinh arena in the Vietnamese capital at 8:00 pm. According to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the Football Association of Thailand has distributed 1,800 tickets for the match to Thai fans. Meanwhile, the hosts will fill the remaining 38,200 seats. "The Davis Cup Committee has voted in favour of the tie being hosted by the ITF on neutral ground at the National Tennis Centre in Nur-Sultan (previously Astana) on 29-30 November," The ITF said in a statement. Thai men’s national football team goalkeeping coach Sasa Todic made an apology on Thursday afternoon, two days after he was accused of demeaning Vietnam’s head coach Park Hang Seo during a match in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers in Hanoi. Following the 0-0 draw between Vietnam and Thailand at My Dinh National Stadium in the Vietnamese capital on Tuesday night, Park approached Thailand’s head coach Akira Nishino for a handshake. While post-match handshakes are typically meant as a show of sportsmanship and goodwill, video footage of the event shows Todic making a hand gesture which appears to mock Park’s height.
