Vietnam targets ecological, sustainable agriculture Vietnam is striving to become a transparent, responsible and sustainable producer and supplier of food and foodstuff under a draft strategy on agricultural and rural development for 2021-2030 with a vision towards 2050. The strategy, which was sketched out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), targets ecological and sustainable agriculture. Vietnam tourism sector has been open for vaccinated foreign travelers to key tourist destinations of Nha Trang City, Phu Quoc Island, Quang Nam Province, Da Nang City, and Quang Ninh Province from November 2021. Higher petrol prices have discouraged fishermen in the central provinces of Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh and Nghe An from going out to the sea due to concerns over potential losses. Nguyen Van Lam from Nghi Xuan District in the central province of Ha Tinh said that it takes his family 7-10 days for an offshore fishing trip. The most recent trip earned VND60 million (USD2,608). However, fuel alone accounted for up to VND25-30 million. Following the most recent petrol price hike, the figure would rise by VND5-8 million. Fishing boats in Thanh Hoa Thach Kim Commune is Loc Ha District is among localities with the highest number of off-shore fishing boats in Ha Tinh Province. The Third Wife , directed by Vietnam’s Ash Mayfair, sets in 19th century rural Vietnam and revolves around a 14-year-old girl is married into a wealthy family to be the third wife of a powerful landowner. The independent film had been commercially shown in 28 countries and territories since its international debut in 2016 before making its way to Vietnamese theaters on May 17.
