He was sent to a local quarantine area upon arrival and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on January 17. The patient is now being treated at the Danang Lung Hospital. The 59-year-old Costa Rican man arrived at the Noi Bai International Airport from the UAE on January 16. He is now being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases. Hanoi (VNA) – Two imported cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the past 24 hours to 6pm on January 18, raising the national count to 1,539, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control. The two new cases are a 28-year-old Vietnamese man returning from the US, and a 59-year-old Costa Rican expert who arrived in Vietnam from Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They tested positive for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 while being quarantined after arriving in Vietnam Also on January 18, 22 patients were given the all-clear, raising the number of recovered patients to 1,402. Airlines ordered to use planes alternatively
According to CAAV, since the Covid-19 pandemic has continued worldwide, the number of planes that must stay idle has continued to increase which may damage the planes. In order to minimise damage, airlines must make sure to have plans to use their planes alternatively so that no plane stay idle for over a month. If any plane must be grounded for over a month for repair and is not safe, the airlines must report to the CAAV for approval. Regular maintenance cases are excluded. The airlines were also asked to carry out maintenance and update information about the regulations on maintaining grounded planes. The Flight Safety Standard Department was asked to work with the airlines and maintenance service providers to increase inspections and suitable measures to protect the planes under the weather condition in Vietnam. Companies collect 17 billion USD via bond issuance in 2020
Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - As many as 277 businesses were involved in bond issuances in 2020, mobilising 403.5 trillion VND (17.4 billion USD), via some 2,200 issuance tranches, the Hanoi Stock Exchange has announced. In December 2020, there were 98 registrations for bond issuance with a total registered value of 75.35 trillion VND, 4.2 times higher than the previous month. Of them, there were 47 successful issuances from 35 enterprises, raising 34.7 trillion VND, accounting for 45.7 percent of the total registered value. The banking group was still the largest issuing group in the month, successfully issuing more than 19 trillion VND, accounting for 55.13 percent of the total value of issued bonds. Next was the real estate and construction with proportions of 5.88 percent and 4.38 percent, respectively.
