Seminars on heritage preservation and tourism in the Old Quarter during COVID-19 will also be held at the museum from December 3-4. A photo exhibition by Monica Herran Restrepo from Columbia will also be opened at the An Hoi Sculpture Park on the Hoài River from December 3-12. Traditional art performances will be staged at the Japanese Bridge on December 3-4, while family music performances will take place at the Hoi An Museum from 7.30pm on the same nights. HCM City (VNA) – Experts gathered at a recent conference in HCM City to discuss measures to develop a transparent and sustainable property market in Vietnam in the next 10-15 years. Nguyen Duc Hien, deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, said the real estate market plays an important role, creating valuable assets for the economy, meeting housing demands of residents, and facilitating the development of other markets. However, he noted that the market still sees many limitations such as unsustainable development, ineffective market management due to inconsistent policies, and complicated administrative procedures related to property investment. The country's authorities should focus on amending real estate laws to eliminate inconsistencies and incorporate policies to encourage social housing over the next decade, said Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh. Hanoi (VNS/VNA) – Vietnam has missed some economic development opportunities and should not ignore the chance to grow the night-time economy, according to economist Tran Dinh Thien. Thien was speaking at a night-time economy workshop with the focus on tourism and realty development in the southern province of Khanh Hoa last weekend. “Vietnam is a bright spot in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the world economy is dark, the local one is still bright and stable,” he said, adding “it is a very great opportunity for development.” He said Vietnam has lost many economic development opportunities in the past, including for the night-time economy. Thien said though some cities such as HCM City, Hanoi, and Da Nang had night-time economic activities, there is still no official mechanism to develop modern night urban activities.
