Australia Awards are scholarships funded by the Australian Government. They are available for Vietnamese government officials, academics, researchers, and staff of non-government organisations (NGOs) and Vietnamese companies to undertake master's degree studies at tertiary institutions in Australia, commencing in 2023. Scholarship recipients will gain a world-class education in Australia, advance their knowledge and skills, and build networks across a range of business sectors.
Women, people with disability, ethnic minorities, people living in rural areas and members of socio-economically disadvantaged groups are encouraged to apply. Applicants are assessed on their leadership attributes, academic competence and potential to make an impact on development challenges in Vietnam and promote relationships between Vietnam and Australia.
'I'm pleased to hear that Australia will also provide 10 ASEAN scholarships in intake 2023. This is a prestigious enhanced award announced to mark the Australia-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and to advance the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP). On top of the usual scholarship entitlements, these scholars will have the privilege of participating in an Indo-Pacific Emerging Leaders Program, which will provide a range of learning, networking and development priorities,' said Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, HE Ms Robyn Mudie.
