According to Lieutenant Junior Grade Doan Trung Kien, Commanding Officer of the center, trawler PY 90864 TS experienced rudder problems while fishing tuna 40 nautical miles Northeast of Sinh Ton Island, Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province on November 23.
Being aware that the rudder will be soon broken, the trawler's captain contacted the center and steered the trawler to Sinh Ton Island for repairing.
The Logistical and Technical Maintenance Center conducted regulated COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control measures and received the rudder to fix.
Shortly after the rudder was fixed and reassembled, trawler PY 90864 TS left the island to continue the fishing.
Together with fixing the rudder, the center presented national flags, life jackets and 2,000 liters of water to the trawler's fishermen.
Trawler PY 90864 TS, captained by Huynh Van Quang from Phu Dong ward, Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province, has five fishermen on board.
