HCM City prioritises developing four key industrial sectors

The four are food processing, pharmaceutical chemicals-rubber-plastic, mechanical engineering, and electronics. The city also targets 10 percent growth in retail sales of goods and services and exports to 905.563 trillion VND (39 billion USD) and 49.2 billion USD. Speaking at a meeting held on January 13 to review the industry and trade sector’s performance last year and set tasks for this year, Nguyen Phuong Dong, the department’s deputy director, said: “In 2020 city enterprises restructured their production to make it market-oriented.
