As reported by the German website, iPhone-ticker.de, Apple is considering organizing a launch event for March 31 and the new low-cost iPhone is said to debut on April 3.
As per popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the upcoming iPhone is expected to come with a starting price tag of $399, which is approximately Rs 28,000. Some online reports also suggest that the iPhone 9 has borrowed its looks and design from iPhone 8. The upcoming iPhone 9 is said to look the same as iPhone 8 with slimmer bezels.
The smartphone will reportedly come in two screen sizes — 4.7 inches and 5.4 inches. Both the display sizes are smaller than 2019 iPhones. The iPhone 9 will run on the same processor as the iPhone 11 series which is Apple’s A13 Bionic chipset. The smartphone is expected to pack 3GB of RAM and two storage options of 64GB and 128GB.
Along with the new low-cost iPhone, the Cupertino-based tech giant is also expected to launch other Apple products in the coming months.
In the company months, Apple is expected to launch iPad Pro models, updated 13-inch MacBook Pro and Apple’s Tile-like ‘AirTags’.
Recently, Apple warned it was unlikely to meet a sales target set just three weeks ago amid lost production and weakening demand in China from the coronavirus outbreak.
