Four Vietnamese in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia 2019

She had previously worked in marketing and operations at an entrepreneurship center, microfinance institution and several start-ups in the U.S., Germany and Vietnam.

This year Ly will head Saola Accelerator, a partnership between 500 Startups Vietnam and leading South Korean retailer GS Shop.

Kevin Tung Nguyen, 29, is cofounder of JobHop, a recruitment company that aims to simplify the recruiting process for HR managers.

He graduated in finance and entrepreneurship in the U.S. before returning to Vietnam in 2012.

In 2016 he established JobHop. The company uses data and AI to sort through applicant profiles on Vietnamese sites to identify the best candidates. The company claims to have reached 500,000 job seekers and 2,000 companies.

Le Tan Thanh Thinh, 28, is cofounder and CEO of BrandBeats, a music marketing agency that was one of three Vietnamese start-ups invited to the 2018 World Economic Forum.

Before founding it, Thinh worked for Carlsberg Vietnam for almost five years as brand manager and new product development manager.

BrandBeats connects brand specialists with music producers to create communication campaigns for clients such as Pepsi, Unilever, P&G, and Nestle.

Ngo Hoang Gia Khanh, 29, was one of the people who transformed Tiki from an online bookstore into an e-commerce giant.

In 2017 Tiki raised over $44 million from Chinese online retailer JD.com and Vietnamese social media firm VNG Corp in a series C funding drive.

Khanh used to work for Boston Consulting Group, Prudential Vietnam Assurance and financial services provider Deloitte Vietnam.

The 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia lists 300 entrepreneurs and game-changers from 23 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region. They were chosen from over 2,000 entries.
