These days, almost everything is caught on camera.
And in these videos, below, we take a look back at some of the most unbelievable videos to come out of the city so far this summer – some light-hearted and humorous, and others just shocking.
We last looked back at some of the most shocking videos in July here, which included CCTV footage of the horrific moment a man was kicked in the head and dumped bleeding in a lift and the moment a naked man took a stroll down Newland Avenue.
But they are not the only bizarre, shocking, horrific or just plain unbelievable videos to surface this year. Here’s a breakdown of what went on in a handful of those that have emerged this summer.
Jet2 pilot invites passengers for a game of twister in hilarious pre-flight speech
This hilarious pre-flight speech from a pilot at Jet2 was caught on camera by a Hull passenger.
Nikki Badger was jetting out to Naples from Leeds Bradford airport for the wedding of her friends’ Becky Hill and Sam Coleman when the Jet2 pilot’s amusing talk began.
Miss Badger, 29, had her mobile phone out to capture the speech, which had passengers on the plane laughing out loud and applauding the pilot.
The pilot said: “The time en route today is… here is a big sigh.. two hours and 56 minutes.
“It’s a slightly longer flight time than you are expecting. That is entirely down to Brexit. If you have any complaints you can put them in writing to Jean-Claude Juncker, Angela Murkle and Theresa May, probably not Jeremy Corbyn.”
The pilot continues his speech about what passengers can do during the flight. He says: “I hope you’ve brought something to do.. a game of cards, travel scrabble.
“We have got Twister here. We have got our mat ready to go…” He then says to his co-pilot: “No not now, wait until we get going.”
He then announces he is going to leave passengers to enjoy their flight as he has “dug himself into a bit of a hole”.
The pilot then says: “This is a very sophisticated flight, it’s got lots of screens and dials, buttons I have never even seen before. It’s like a space shuttle up here. We are going to be hanging upside down and performing experiments.”
His speech was met with a big round of applause by passengers on the flight.
Miss Badger said: “It made an early flight much more enjoyable for me and my friend travelling to Sorrento for our friend’s wedding.
“The entire flight was in stitches and it was good to have someone really enjoying their job.”

Woman shares footage of Beverley Ladies Day racegoer falling over
This is the moment a woman who appears to be “drunk” falls to the ground after enjoying a day out at Ladies Day.
The clip was shared on Facebook.
The woman who shared it wrote: “Bloody nora!!!! Welcome to Hull City of Culture.”
Many others trudged from Beverley Westwood to the centre of town after the races came to a conclusion.
Some were sitting down on the benches waiting for their ride home, whereas others decided to carry on the party by heading into the various pubs and bars that surround Saturday Market.
However, in one seemingly isolated incident, tempers flared as police had to be called when two men started scrapping in the middle of Beverley town centre.
Officers from Humberside Police were called to the Green Dragon pub after a fight broke out leaving one man with blood on his face.
Apart from that one incident which happened outside of the racecourse, the event ran smoothly with armed police purely on patrol as a safety precaution.

Shocking video of Hull pub brawl which leaves blood splattered on carpets and glass embedded in bar
This is the moment a family pub became the scene of a pitched battle.
Jack Adamson, 29, is seated opposite his mother having a quiet drink at the Goodfellowship Inn, when Damian Driver, wearing bright blue T-shirt, sits next to him then suddenly floors him with a left-hand-punch.
Adamson is quick to defend himself and the pair are soon grappling on the floor as mayhem erupts in the west Hull pub, with some trying to stop the violence and others joining in.
It is 11pm on July 8 last year, and just when staff thought the night was winding down, they instead have to contend with a rolling brawl thought to have left more than £2,000 of damage in its wake.
As Judge David Tremberg sentenced Adamson, Driver, 24, and 25-year-old Ben Mullins – who all admitted affray – he said of the incident: “All played out in front of innocent members of the public, who were no doubt terrified by what they had to see.
“Whatever grudge one of you had against another, this was neither the time, the place, nor the method of addressing it.” All three received suspended prison sentences.
That concern was not shared by all who watched the footage at Hull Crown Court, which was met with laughter by some young female supporters of the defendants in the public gallery. One turned smiling towards the dock, and making a circular motion with a finger against her temple, said: “You’re mad, you are.”
Adamson, in a white T-shirt which was soon ripped, is also a target for Mullins, who is wearing a khaki top and black shorts. Though Mullins is clearly one of the aggressors and comes flying into action, he does not fare well.
The latest cases in the courts
Mullins had a glass smashed over the top of his head by Adamson, and was also caught on camera grimacing as Adamson and another man force him backwards over a table.
Such was the level of violence used that glass was left “embedded” in the bar, there was blood on the carpets, tables and bar, and a police officer who attended said it was “impossible to walk across the floor without treading on broken glass”.
The participants and witnesses were fortunate not to have been seriously injured, and in the footage, which was recorded from two cameras, Mullins is seen throwing a chair directly over Adamson’s mother’s head. Two men quickly lead her to safety.
And into all of this bravely stepped the landlady of the Cottingham Road pub, who had been relaxing upstairs. She was struck on the shoulder and found a piece of glass on the outside of her right eyelid.
It was not clear what lay behind the violence, but prosecutor Phillip Evans said: “Mr Adamson was to tell the police at interview that Mr Driver had offered to sell him class A drugs.”

Horrifying moment swearing ‘zombies’ suddenly brawl in city centre
Horrified shoppers watched as two men became involved in a brawl over a bike in Hull city centre.
People watched in utter disbelief as the two men, who shoppers described as ‘clearly being on something‘, fought in broad daylight with young children around.
The incident happened outside the Card Factory and William Hill bookmakers in King Edward Street at around 11.30am on Wednesday, August 29.
Footage – obtained by Hull Live – shows the men arguing, shouting and swearing.
A tussle then follows and one of the men is seen to have his leg over the bike frame.
He then falls to the ground, with the other man still trying to get the bike off him.
He succeeds and wheels the bike away, while the other is seen to sit down on the bench with his head in his hands.
The man who filmed the incident said: “I don’t know how to put it really, it’s just so disrespectful and you don’t go into town to see things like this.
“It’s happening more and more often. I think they were definitely on something, most likely Spice, as you wouldn’t act like that normally.”
At the time, Hull Live reported how the video had been shared nearly 500 times on Facebook and had created anger from people about the state of “drug zombies” in the city centre.
Hull Live reported how Humberside Police said they have officers working ‘around the clock’ to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour in the city centre and how an “increased police presence” has been in place in the city centre since June 5, in response to continuous reports of people taking drugs and brawling in broad daylight in front of horrified shoppers, business owners and families.
Known as Operation Ignition, Humberside Police have stepped up patrols to try and tackle the problems blighting the city centre which included a sharp rise in “zombie” drug users.
At the time of reporting, officers had made 135 arrests, issued 272 dispersal orders and carried out 261 searches.
Inspector Craig Mattinson from the Hull Community Policing team said: “Antisocial behaviour can be intimidating and is unacceptable for us all, and we are listening and we are acting.
“We’re constantly gathering intelligence and information, and we are also using the dispersal order powers that we have in other parts of Hull.
“The evidence we’ve gathered has shown that the individuals we know and deal with are not going to other parts of the city and causing problems elsewhere.
“We are making sure they’re having contact with the appropriate support agencies and service providers so they can get the help they need.”

Topless thugs filmed carrying out sickening attack on animals in Hull park
This shocking footage shows a group tormenting and “kicking” geese in a west Hull park.
The woman who filmed it in Pickering Park said she was now living in fear after witnessing the “horrific animal abuse”.
Hull Live reported how residents in the area had complained of an increase in crime and antisocial behaviour in the park in recent weeks.
Neighbours spoke out about their frustrations and concerns of the traveller group being allowed to stay, with many reporting problems. There was no suggestion they were responsible for this attack, but residents remained worried.
The woman, who wanted to remain anonymous, said: “I was walking with my kids and dog on Sunday evening and we could the children kicking and chasing these geese.
“We saw that one of the geese was laid on the floor, and with that an adult picked it up and threw it under the wheels of a moving van.
“It was truly horrific, and something nobody, especially children, should have to see.
“I am currently living in fear, getting other people to look after my children and closing all the curtains in my home so I don’t get recognised.”
The woman says she intervened but became intimidated by the many vans and people surrounding her, who she claims shouted abuse and came up to her, prompting her to call 999 twice.
She was able to take some video footage of the abuse against the animals, shown above, as she was filming her children playing football when it happened.
After taking the footage to Pickering Park police station where she showed three officers, the woman also called the RSPCA and Hull City Council.
“I am living in fear of my own safety and scared that wildlife is being subjected to torture,” she said.
“More travellers are arriving every evening with them speeding down the street and the camp has now spread to the children’s park area. About six more caravans arrived at 11.30pm.
“I’m worried this will have an impact on the council being able to remove them from the site.
“I work in mental health and do not discriminate, and I have a live and let live attitude, but this was a case of animal abuse which I could not ignore.”
At the time, a spokesman from Humberside Police said: “We received a report of geese allegedly being attacked at Pickering Park in Hull on July 22.
“We were called around 7.45pm by a member of the public who reported that they had seen a number of youths chasing and attacking the birds.
“Advice was given and information passed on to partner agencies.
“Officers attended the park and despite extensive enquiries no evidence of dead or injured wildlife was found.”
Hull Live reported that travellers left Pickering Park at the end of July.

Millionaire Melissa Ede’s videos are BACK – and more shocking than ever
Melissa Ede has officially made her video “comeback” – and it’s more shocking than ever.
Before winning £4m on a scratchcard at the end of 2017, Melissa was probably best known for her viral videos, which often showed her singing and dancing in her kitchen with items attached to her breasts, as well as her various TV appearances.
But after winning £4m, the former Hull taxi driver vowed it would not change her.
And sticking to her word, she has made a video comeback – with her second video since winning big.
She previously posted a video shortly after winning, in which she had scratchcards dangling from her breasts, but has been fairly quiet on the video front since.
But now she’s back and she wants everyone to know that she hasn’t changed.
“Now then everybody,” she says at the beginning of the video. “Been a long time hasn’t it? Well, I’m going to do you a video in the kitchen.
“One of the awkward things I’ve got now is, now I’m a millionaire and I look a million dollars, the sexiness and everything else, I wanted to change things a little bit because I can’t really dangle things from my boobs and that can I now I’m a millionaire?
“Or can I? We’ll see. Are you ready? A one, a two, what song am I going to give you?”
The video then shows Melissa, in her new kitchen in her new home, singing with Whiskas cat food attached to her breasts before declaring “I don’t change”.
Speaking to Hull Live last week, Melissa said: “I am going to start doing videos again very shortly. I got my gold shorts out the other day and dusted them off and they are ready to go.
Melissa Ede news
“It [the filming] will be in my new kitchen. It’s always been in my kitchen.
“They can expect more of the humour. There will be more of the sexiness. I’m far sexier now.
“I can afford to buy what I want to dangle from my boobs now so I will.”
And Melissa promised to provide the shock-factor.
“There will be glitz and glam. I think they will probably be shocked,” she said.
“A lot of people can’t understand why I’m still wanting to do the videos after winning £4m.
“Money is not going to change me. I’ve got hundreds of fans asking when I am going to start doing my videos again.”
Melissa is also planning the “Melissa Ede challenge” but she is keeping tight-lipped about what it involves.
“There’s going to be a Melissa Ede challenge,” she said. “I am going to do it in a very public place and I want to see how many other people will join in the fun and do the Melissa Ede challenge in the most public place.
“It’s not going to be naked. It’s going to be something very fun. It’s top secret.”
Melissa recently spoke to the BBC for a programme called Winning it Big and revealed she has invested £3m of her fortune.
It follows the BBC’s Mike Thomson as he meets five lottery winners from around the world.
In the programme Melissa takes Mike to her old workplace, 35 Taxis, where she speaks to a former colleague, Carmen Wilkinson.
“I’ve invested £3m,” Melissa tells her. “I’m paying the house off cash and then I’m treating some of my close friends as well and family and we have still got enough to have some good holidays and that as well.
“So I’m not as crazy as people thought I was.
“I’ve proved that it can happen to anybody because, if I was ten minutes later, somebody else might have had that scratchcard.”
