BEAUREGARD PARISH, LA (KPLC) –

A water outage for Waterworks District No. 2 in Beauregard Parish is scheduled for July 31 through Aug. 3, 2018.

The planned outage comes from severe dry conditions affecting the main water line with various breakages and the newly updated construction to the Singer Chlorine Treatment Facility.

The outage will affect the north end of Waterworks District No. 2 Tuesday and Wednesday and the outage will affect the south end on Thursday and Friday.

A system-wide boil advisory will begin July 31 at 8 a.m. and will remain in effect until rescinded by the water system.

Residents should store portable water to prepare for the outage.
