This year’s competition, the second of this kind, is open to start-ups in one of three categories namely: Idea and prototyping stage; startup stage; social entrepreneur (in either idea or startup stages).
The deadline for applications is April 16, 2017. Winners (winning teams) will receive financial supports of USD 1,000; USD 750 and USD 500 for first, second and third prizes, respectively.
Moreover, the leader of the first prize winning (team) will receive a USD 5,000-scholarship from the Vietnam Executive Master of Business Administration (VEMBA), Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii for: a MBA degree, or taking three courses within six months.
The event also drew the participation of Dr. Kerry Healey, President of Babson College, of which entrepreneurship programs have been ranked as number one by US News & World Report for 20 years.
The doctor talked about how US universities and colleges foster the spirit of innovation and collaboration and promote entrepreneurship among all students, faculty members and alumni. She also talked about what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur.
The president will help the AEC’s winner join in a network of global entrepreneur called “Babson connects worldwide” initiated by the Babson College.
