(VOVworld) – More than 1,700 delegates and 170 reporters have registered to participate in the 1st APEC Senior Officials Meeting (SOM 1) to take place from February 18 to March 3 in Nha Trang City.
Speaking in a press conference hosted by the APEC Secretariat and the Foreign Ministry on Friday, Permanent Deputy Head of the National Secretariat for APEC 2017, Nguyen Minh Vu, said the SOM 1 includes 56 sessions, workshops and dialogues, covering areas such as free trade and investment, facilitation of trade, natural disaster responses and e-commerce. Khanh Hoa province has opened a press center in Nha Trang to support domestic and foreign journalists reporting on the event.

The 3rd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM III) closed on Sept. 17 in central Da Nang city after two-week seating.
