Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City has been ranked 156 out of 516 sustainable educational facilities worldwide as per the UI Greenmetric World University Rankings of Indonesia’s list of universities with green education environment and globally sustainable investment.
Universities in the list are ranked as per criteria of green space, infrastructure, energy, climate change, waste discharge management, traffic, scientific research and training capacity. The school is ranked 149 in term of scientific research and training capacity – the most important criterion.
The UI Greenmetric World University Rankings initiated in 2010 is considered a the most prestige organization in measuring universities’ sustainable growth efforts.

Springer: No ties between Ton Duc Thang Univ. and APJCEN Nguyen Vu By Nguyen Vu - The Saigon Times Daily HCMC – Springer Publishing, the owner of Asian-Pacific Journal of Computational Engineering (APJCEN) magazine, on August 14 confirmed that there is no connection between Ton Duc Thang University and the magazine. A giant-sized calligraphy book is now ready for public display on the occasion of the 123rd birth anniversary of late President Ton Duc Thang. A young calligrapher Nguyen Hieu Tin, a teacher at the Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City, completed this giant-sized calligraphy book in two months, measuring 90cm x 120cm and weighing 72 kilos.
