Vice Chairman Ty, who is also member of the Party Central Committee, made the request at a conference held in Hanoi on January 6 to review the committee’s operations in 2016 and set goals for implementation in 2017.
He praised the positive outcomes gained by the committee over the past year since the committee received and listened to opinions and petitions of around 1,875 citizens and the number of complaints and denunciations sent to NA-run agencies have tended to decrease in comparison with the 2015 figure.
He noted with pleasure that the committee answered 100% of 5,927 opinions sent by voters to the 11th working session of the 13th tenure NA and to the second session of the 14th tenure NA.
Through its supervision, the committee coordinated with authorised agencies in addressing 58 specific cases.
Assigning the tasks for the agency in 2017, the NA official asked the committee to update its working procedure in processing and solving complaint and denunciation cases from citizens, stressing the need to apply advanced information and technology for enhanced operation.
The committee was also requested to increase training courses and experience exchange sessions for NA deputies and those in charge of receiving citizens.
