Mr Jia, who is also Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), told Nguyen Minh Triet, Politburo member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Secretary of the HCM City Party Committee, that he strongly supports the co-operation programme between the two cities, during their meeting in HCM City on March 23.
The senior Chinese official said he believes that strong support from local administrations will enable businesses from the two countries to better play to the full strength of the two economic hubs. He also pledged to do his best to boost comprehensive co-operation between China and Vietnam to a higher plane.
For his part, Mr Triet expressed his wishes for further economic co-operation with China, especially between business circles. With the great efforts made by the two Parties and States, the friendship and comprehensive co-operation between Vietnam and China will further develop and gain great achievements in all fields, he said.
