Below are some of the main stories published in the Vietnamese press today – On January 15, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung signed the approval to establish the National Committee on Information Technology. He will be Chairman of the committee and Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam will be the committee’s Vice Chairman. The Committee will work as a consulting agency for the Government and the PM on making guidelines, strategies and policies to boost the development and application of information technology in State agencies, key sectors and the whole society. – The Prime Minister has approved the program on training and developing human resources in information security until 2020. The program is to train a team of information security human resources to meet the demands of agencies, organizations and enterprises in information security for the country’s key sectors. Until 2020, 300 instructors and researchers will be sent to foreign countries for training.
