TPBank hosts World Amateur Golfers Championship

(VOV) - It has been unveiled that the qualifying round of the TPBank World Amateur Golfers Championship (TPBank WAGC) will kick off on September 26 at the Thu Duc Golf Course in District 9 of Ho Chi Minh City. After the qualifying round, 25 golfers representing the southern region will compete in the final round with golfers from the north on October 24 at the Dam Vac Golf Course in the northern Vinh Phuc province. Vietnam to showcase heritage sites at int’l travel expo this month

Hoang Anh Gia Lai let players go in major shake-up Hoang Anh Gia Lai plan to make big changes in personnel in the coming season, as 12 players have been removed from their squad list. The V-League side have decided to filter their team after a poor result in the 2013-14 season, finishing at No 9, out of 12 teams. Vietnamese martial artists to compete at world championships

Vietnamese martial artists are set to take part in the 6th WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships to kick off at the Sports Complex Olympiets in Russia on July 29. Participants will be competing in nine events, separated into U-18, 19-30 and above 30 age groups. The three-day tournament is expected to attract 700 athletes from 70 countries. “Swing for Life” Raises over VND1.5 Billion

(VEN) - The 11th charity golf competition, "Swing for Life 2010", was held recently in the Thu Duc Golf Course attracting 244 competitors. Golfers tee off against heart disease

Saigon Golf Association will host a charity golf tournament at Vietnam Golf and Country Club, better known as Thu Duc Golf Course on September 1.The organizers of the 11th Swing for Life 2010 charity tournament, said they hoped to raise VND1 billion to sponsor heart surgeries for poor children with congenital heart disease in HCMC and other provinces. The organizers, who had only expected 250 entries, decided to use both east and west courses to accommodate the 288 who registered. Most golfers are members of the Saigon Golf Association, some come from cities and provinces such as Hanoi, Danang, Nha Trang, Dalat, Dong Nai and Song Be.
