Toyota Classics returns to Ho Chi Minh City The 14th Toyota Classics is expected to leave a deep impression on Ho Chi Minh City audiences on the night of November 11. Young talents to gather in congress

(CPV) – The 16th Vinh Phuc provincial Party Committee Congress, tenure 2015-2016, continued its programmes on October 16th. Mr. Nguyen Van Tri, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee approved the results from the first session of the provincial Party Executive Committee. Accordingly, the Standing Board for the 2015-2020 tenure was voted with 11 members. Knowledge on sea and islands provided to youths

PANO – A training course on sea and islands and planting of border markers for around 500 youths and students in Thua Thien-Hue province and neighbouring provinces and cities was held in at Medicine and Pharmacy University under Hue University. The event aims to boost youths’ awareness of the national sea and islands, so as to raise their responsibilities for building and defending the nation. Construction of flag pole started on Hon La Island

Music night raises scholarship fund

HCM CITY (VNS) — A music night themed Thap Sang Uoc Mo (To Light up a Dream) at the Youth Cultural House on Saturday will raise funds for scholarships for poor and ethnic minority students with good academic records. Proceeds from the event will go to the Vu A Dinh Scholarsip Fund run by the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. Since 1999, the Vu A Dinh scholarship fund has given nearly 60,000 scholarships to ethnic minority students nationwide. The fund has also helped to build nine schools, including two primary schools in Truong Sa Lon and Sinh Ton islands which belong to the Truong Sa archipelago, as well as dozens of bridges and 50 houses for the poor. Vu A Dinh Fund's organisers have signed agreements with several schools and enterprises to develop projects such as the Uom Mam Tuong Lai (Future Incubator) and Chap Canh Uoc Mo (Dream Chasing), worth nearly VND28 billion (US$1.3 million). Film week on memories of Dien Bien opens
