3,000 join run to raise awareness of healthy life

Jogging for “Clean, Green and Beautiful Life in 2016″

PANO - The Vietnam News Agency’s Television Centre, in association with Amway Vietnam’s Body Key brand, organized a jogging program called "Clean, Green and Beautiful Life in 2016" on April 24thin Hanoi. The jogging The program aimed to raise Vietnamese awareness about a healthy lifestyle. It attracted the participation of about 3,000 VNA staff and other Hanoians, who jogged around Hoan Kiem Lake. Vietnam News Agency organises run for Mother Earth Day

Hanoi, April 24 (VNA) – The Vietnam News Agency Television Centre (VNews) organised the first-ever run for a Clean-Green-Beautiful Life on April 24 in response to the International Mother Earth Day. The event drew the participation of nearly 3,000 Hanoians, the Vietnam New Agency’s officials and staff as well as representatives from ministries, branches and organisations. The Ministry of Industry and Trade aims to announce the results of the investigation into seven multi-level marketing companies this May. The ongoing investigation , focuses on recognising illegal pyramid schemes masquerading as business opportunities. In late March, the ministry (MoIT) assembled a team to look into the operations of Amway Vietnam, Unicity Marketing Vietnam, Thien Ngoc Minh Uy, Tap Doan Lien Ket Vietnam, Lien Ket Tri Thuc, Lien Minh Tieu Dung Thang Long, and Nhuong Quyen Thang Long. Amway is ranked 11th amongst the top 200 companies making the largest contributions of corporate income tax in Vietnam in 2015, according to the V1000 ranking list conducted by Vietnam Report, Vietnamnet, and Tax Journal under the General Department of Taxation. HCM CITY (VNS) — A circular jointly issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Information and Communications is necessary to regulate domain name registrations tightly, a conference was told. Participants at the conference, held in HCM City this week, said the circular should not stipulate tough conditions for companies, such as presenting certificates of recognition for famous brands, when there were no regulations on such recognition. Domain names on the Internet have become one of the important tools by which companies and the source or origin of products and services can be identified. However, many organisations and individuals have registered domain names that are identical or confusingly similar to those of patented brands, trademarks and geographical indications belonging to other organisations and individuals. Nearly 100 children with cleft lips and palates given free surgery

Representatives of Amway Vietnam and the HCMC Medical and Pharmaceutical University Hospital receive flowers from Operation Smile. NDO - Nearly 100 children with cleft lips and palates in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding provinces are being offered free checked-ups and surgeries in the Medical and Pharmaceutical University Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City from now until May 15. This is the first surgery mission of 2015 organised by Operation Smile and Amway Vietnam in order to support disadvantaged children and encourage them to smile and enjoy a happy childhood. Statistics show that in Vietnam, one child in every 700 is born with a facial deformity. Amway leads in direct selling in Vietnam in 2014

Amway Vietnam ranked first among direct selling companies in Vietnam in 2014, in terms of revenue, number of participants, commissions and other economic benefits offered for sellers, according to a recent report released by the Vietnam Competition Authority under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. According to the report, there are a total of 105 direct selling companies in Vietnam, employing 600,000 people, with the total revenue of VND6 trillion ($282 million) and paying VND520 billion (US$24.4 million) in tax. Amway Vietnam, a subsidiary of American direct selling company Amway, sells health and beauty products as well as some household goods. It has been present in Vietnam since 2008. Transport Ministry asks for airfare reduction on short-haul routes Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang has recently issued a directive on reducing airfares on short-haul domestic routes, aiming to promote socio-economic development in disadvantage areas. Thang asked the airlines operating in Vietnam to promptly study and offer fare incentive policies for short-haul flights under 500 kilometres, and conduct price registration and listing in accordance with regulations.
