Quoc Anh and Kieu Trinh receive Golden Ball 2012

(CPV) – At Ho Chi Minh City’s Army Theatre, on May 7, Saigon Liberation newspaper in collaboration with Impressionism EEC Event JSC held the Gala Awards 2012 Vietnam Golden Ball.

The golden ball title was awarded to players Huynh Quoc Anh (male) and Dang Thi Kieu Trinh (female).

2012 was an impressive year for midfielder Huynh Quoc Anh (from SHB Da Nang club). He played an important role in the victory of SHB Da Nang club in the V – League 2012 championship, and also played well in the national team.

The silver ball title belonged to midfielder Le Tan Tai (from Vincem XM Hai Phong club) who has contributed to the club’s relegation V Khatoco Khanh Hoa League last season. Meanwhile, the bronze ball title went to Minh Phuong (also from SHB Da Nang club).

In the women’s category, goalkeeper Dang Thi Kieu Trinh (from Ho Chi Minh City) was predicted to pocket the golden ball. Last year, her role in the Vietnam’s women’s football team championship in SEA Games competition was considered irreplaceable. She also won the title of best female player in 2012.

The silver ball title went to Le Thi Thuong (from Vietnam Coal and Mineral club), and the bronze ball title was presented to Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (from Hanoi).

The organizing board have also presented awards for outstanding male footballer Tran Phi Son from Song Lam Nghe An club, and female player Chuong Thi Kieu from Ho Chi Minh city.

Whereas, excellent foreign player belonged to striker Gaston Merlo (from SHB Da Nang club).

This is the 18th year that Vietnam Golden Ball awards were given to players./.
